     #  CINCO PAÍSES RESTRINGEM COMPRAS DE CARNE 

 Mais três países - Inglaterra, Arábia Saudita e Rússia - decidiram suspender as importações de carne brasileira com medo de novos focos de aftosa identificados no Rio Grande do Sul. Os dois primeiros anunciaram, ontem (10), o cancelamento de compras em todo o país. A Rússia vai deixar de importar carne suína de Santa Catarina. Em nota oficial, o Ministério da Agricultura informou que Israel e Chile, os primeiros países a suspenderem as importações de carne brasileira, reconsideraram sua decisão parcialmente. A suspensão, em vez de valer para todo o país, será apenas para o RS. Juntos, Inglaterra, Israel, Arábia Saudita e Chile respondem por 25% do total das exportações de carne bovina brasileira (US$ 125 milhões). No ano passado, as exportações totais do produto somaram US$ 500 milhões. As primeiras conseqüências da aftosa são essas, por isso é importante que o Paraná vacine 100% do seu rebanho.
