     #  Ampliação da produção de soja 

Nas últimas oito safras houve um aumento de 52% na produção mundial de soja. Nesse período a produção norte-americana cresceu 11,0%, a brasileira de 109%, a argentina 230%, a chinesa 26% e a indiana 42%. A produção Paranaense de soja na safra 2002/03 foi de 10,89 milhões de toneladas contra 9,48 milhões de toneladas na safra 2001/02 com aumento de Produção de 15%, segundo informações da Conab. O quadro seguinte mostra a evolução da produção nos principais produtores mundiais.
