 #  Por que o frio aumenta o risco de AVCs? 

Recentemente, a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) colocou o Acidente Vascular Cerebral, o AVC, como prioridade global de saúde pública. Estima-se que um a cada quatro adultos no mundo terá um AVC ao longo da vida, com risco aumentando durante as estações mais frias do ano.

No mais recente episódio do podcast "Saúde Sem Complicação", da Revista Ampla, uma publicação da Unimed Paraná, o neurocirurgião Ricardo Ramina, que é Chefe do Setor de Neurocirurgia do Instituto de Neurologia e Cardiologia de Curitiba (Hospital INC), detalha como as temperaturas mais frias impactam o corpo e aumentam os riscos de um Derrame.
