     #  Argentina colhe menos soja por causa da seca 

A Argentina poderá colher 1 milhão de toneladas de soja a menos na safra 2004/05 em razão do clima seco e das elevadas temperaturas, informa a empresa de consultoria argentina Agripac. A produção poderá cair 2,6%, de 39 milhões para 38 milhões de toneladas. A falta de chuvas e as altas temperaturas durante a primeira se-mana de janeiro causaram prejuízos irreversíveis em boa parte das áreas produtoras, informa a empresa. Cerca de 3 milhões de hectares, ou 20% do total da área de soja plantada, foram pelo menos moderadamente afeta-dos pela seca e cerca de 367 mil hectares foram totalmente perdidos.
