A Fecoagro divulgou ontem (14) o 4º levantamento de avaliação da safra de verão de milho e soja. Dados indicam que, desde o último balanço, em janeiro, cresceu a quebra desses produtos devido à estiagem. Segundo o presidente da entidade, Rui Polidoro Pinto, R$ 677 milhões deixarão de circular na economia gaúcha este ano. "Perderemos um milhão de tonelada de cada produto", disse o assessor técnico Valdir Bisotto. Dados de 35 cooperativas indicam para os 3,274 milhões de hectares semeados com soja (safra 2001/02), uma produção de 5,819 milhões de toneladas, com produtividade de 1.777 kg por hectare, 17,6% inferior aos 2.156 kg/h estimados inicialmente.
